Cordcutting - HD Home Run
More cord cutting resources discussed in 24 April 2017 Club Meeting included Silicon Dust's device called HD HomeRun. This comes in three different flavors for capturing live TV signals from an HDTV antenna:
HomeRun Connect : similar to Tablo - basic OTA TV tuner box which is connected to a HDTV Antenna and broadcasts TV signal wirelessly to any device or TV. Can be used to record live OTA TV with separate software or Plex/Kodi. Base cost is $99.
HomeRun Extend : like HR Connect, but compresses wireless signal for more range. Base cost $180.
HomeRun Prime : adds cable TV and can replace cable box. Base cost $135.
